The Apex pants are the best 5.11 pants.
Initially having used the Taclite Pro pant, then the Stryke pant, and now the Apex pant, I will say that the Apex pants are by far my favorite. They are the most comfortable of the three. The Taclites are clearly a staple, however after owning the Stryke and now Apex, I have really grown to like the stretch material of both the Stryke and Apex pants. The Taclite pants cinch up on the sides of the waist because of the ruffled elastic. When you have gear in the pockets and a belt holding everything up, the Taclite pants can irritate the hip area. Teflon - a double-edged sword!
These are comfortable and good looking. Only two minor complaints-- it is tricky to use the magazine compartments in the zippered front pockets for items shorter than mags, so you need to keep them out (and they seem to find their way in) or spend extra time leaning to that side fishing them out . . . and, although these are sold as lightweight pants, they are especially prone to abrasion damage.
Most annoying is the exceptional degree to which grease stains are held on to by the fabric. Even with targeted scrubbing using a brush and Dawn, followed by the same with liquid detergent, it always takes two launderings to vanquish the spot!

Duty and Personal Use
These are by far the best pants I have ever worn on duty for 4 years now. They fit well and are water repellent. They have plenty of pockets to place needed items.
The only cons I could write is: If you are not used to lower waist pants, it will take a little getting used to or have a little larger bum. While they are water repellent, they are not waterproof but dry extremely fast.
I plan on buying more for my personal everyday wear and I'm jeans and teeshirt guy.

Pantaloons
These are okay pants. The material is nice but not as tough as other 5.11 pants made out of sturdier ripstop material. I got these on sale and wouldn't consider paying full price for these. They are comfy but that's the best I can say for them. I often worry about using them like normal pants (kneeling, carrying wood, general work) because they don't feel like the sturdiest pants, the material has some stretch to it.

- Comfy
- not the MOST overt tactical but not tactical pants out there
Cons:
- thigh mag pouches suck, period
- feels less durable than other 5.11 pants
Best Used for:
- looking like an operator
- being uber tactical

Very good pants
Great pants.Tough stain resistant,use them for automotive work. Stretch and bend easily, also able to wear layers underneath without discomfort.Strong and deep pockets with plenty of room for tools,or clips for concealed carry.

This Apex Pant is Awesome Comfort, Worth every Pennies !!
I haven't tried other 5.11 pants, but after research I choose the Apex Pant over others and give it a shot.
I bought 3 of this this Apex pants mostly for my outdoor activities (Hiking, Camping, Shooting etc.) The Quality, Comfort, Deep pockets with multi compartments, Water/Stain Resistance, Lightweight, Stretchable etc. is just awesome, I didn't regret buying those pants, matter of fact is so comfort I am wearing those pants on my normal everyday as well.
Living in south Florida is hot and humid, Apex pants breathable design come very handy and it works, after an hour under the sun legs did felt the heat temperature but no sweating. I'm definitely recommend this Apex pant to everyone.

"Battle britches"
I first bought a pair of these pants at local retailer ,paid much more for them than I should have. Nonetheless they're great ,plenty of hidden pockets,strong zippers, stealthy cargo pockets& very comfortable fit. I saw these while shopping on OpticsPlanet and knew I had to have more. Ordered pair in black/saved fistful of cheddar when they arrived fit was perfect. Will order these in all available colors on next order "great value" thank you lots OpticsPlanet comes through once again!

Nothing short of fantastic!
I've been told several times that I'm overly picky, and I tend to modify everything I buy because there's always a way to improve something. Well I've finally met my match: these pants need nothing. The fit and function are fantastic, and there's not a single thing I would change about them. I bought them for work (PD administrator), but I find myself wearing them at home too because they're more comfortable than even my most "lived in" jeans. I do a lot of off-road biking and pants tend to ride up on my somewhat freakishly large calves, but not these. They're in no way baggy, just well proportioned with a good athletic fit. Just buy them...you'll be glad you did.

Run just a bit small
I've had these pants for a month now, I can say with no hesitation that they are one of my favorite pair of pants now. I have several pairs of the stryke pants which are my favorite they jus fit right with is not the case with these ones, they ride a little lower and bit small at the waist which is not a bad thing if you like Levi's. Overall very good pants for everyday/range use.
