Most Helpful Positive Review Made for the Tavor 16"
I had researched for a covert bag for my Tavor. I could not find exactly what I wanted, until I saw this one from 5.11. It is a perfect fit w/ my optics and 30rd magazine. When you order this bag, go ahead and order the 5:11 Bail-Out bag too. It fits the from compartment perfectly. Why? Cause 5.11 does not mess around.

Poorly Designed

by RogenoGeno, from CA, United States Written on May 20, 2019
Made with high quality materials, good workmanship, but poorly designed. Muzzle pocket and retention strap are sewn (cannot be re-positioned), so that any SBR must be carried muzzle down, which leaves the retention strap at a position nearly useless. Carrying muzzle up means losing 3 “ or 4” of length using the pocket for the butt end, or foregoing retention of the butt. Item was returned for refund

5.11 Covrt M4 Shorty Backpack

by NK, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 5, 2019
This bag seems well made. I use mine for a 16" AR rifle with a Law Tactical Folder. Close fit with barrel in the support pocket inside bag. Will fit Tavor with 18" barrel (29"OAL) without using barrel support pocket. The standard Covrt M4 bag would be a better choice for that weapon. Ruger PC9 take-down works as well, provide you wrap or cushion the receiver and barrel for lack of internal retention straps. I think it needs a few more internal tie downs, hence the four stars. Outside pocket has lots of room. I keep an AR grab-n-go type mag carrier in there.
Pros:
  • well made
Cons:
  • It could use more internal retention
Best Used for:
  • 16" folder AR
  • weapon with 27.5" OAL

Nice shorty case

by JL, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on July 28, 2018
Been looking all over for a short case to fit my AR pistol.
This is a pretty nice case.
It has good storage for extra mags and stuff like TQ and ear Pro.
Build quality is excellent and I like the extra handles it has to carry.
I added an extra 15 mag bag to the inside so they don't flop around.
Only wish it had molle inside the pocket to secure mags better with a mag pouch.
I like the barrel pocket , so it keeps the pistol from moving too much.
Pros:
  • Small & practical for carry
Cons:
  • No molle
Best Used for:
  • ar pistol

Exactly what I was looking for.

by T, from SC, United States Written on April 1, 2018
Perfect fit for my 10” AR. I was looking for a somewhat discreet range bag that wouldn’t scream hey there’s a gun in my backseat. Plenty of room for range necessities and other supplies in the front pocket.

Great bag for the money!

by Alan, from FL, United States Written on December 7, 2015
What can I say. It was on sale. It turned out to be a great bag for the price. I got it for my SBR and Tavor. Both fit perfectly, with room to spare. Too bad they've discontinued it. Get it while you can.
Pros:
  • Quality/Price
Cons:
  • None

Nice, sleek, SBR (Short Barrel Rifle) Backpack

by jthiking, from AZ, United States Written on November 23, 2014
Backpack SBR case is well constructed inside and out. It will fit an SBR up to a 9"L barrel, anything larger will fit so long as you separate the upper and lower receivers (storing the upper inside main compartment and the lower in the outside pocket.

It would be nicer however to have the following features offered:
1. Adjustable height for the velcro rifle strap. When I transport my 10.75"L barrel upper receiver, the velcro strap is too high to secure the receiver in place.
2. The outer accessory pocket has no sub-pockets for holding magazines, suppressors or other small accessories.
3. It would be nice if a taller backpack was offered that could hold up to an 11" SBR without separating it into the upper and lower receivers. I'm surprised it was not made high enough to hold at least a 10" to 10.5" SBR (the most popular size).
Pros:
  • Well constructed with nice strap
Cons:
  • Too short in height for many SBR's.
Best Used for:
  • Transporting an SBR with a barrel length 9"L or Less.
