Spacious, comfortable, and great for travel - 5.11 Tactical 37L Rush24 2.0 Backpack

Daniel Terrill's Review of 5.11 Tactical 37L Rush24 2.0 Backpack
I had to take a four-day work trip down to Texas and I actually felt kind of lucky I had this 5.11 Tactical backpack.
I have a packing system I follow when I travel. I like to pack most of my clothes and extra shoes in a suitcase, which I usually check, and then I carry on my camera bag and a backpack with essential stuff like computer, extra socks, and a hygiene bag. I dole it out this way because I've had a bad experience in the past where my suitcase got lost with some essential items inside. Plus, it's easier to get around the airport with a light load.
However, this was a hunting trip, so I had to pack a lot of extra essential gear like boots, snake gaiters, and a warming layer. So, you know my feelings on essential gear and packing. Fortunately, I had access to this 34-liter 5.11 backpack. It provided more room than my daily NorthFace bag, which I still really like.
With the 5.11 bag, I was able to fit all the essential gear and more. I fit extra things like a hardcopy book I got from the library, a notebook and some extra pens, charging cords for my phone and computer, batteries, a week's worth of snacks, a 32-ounce water bottle, and travel mug.
I found all the pockets to be in convenient locations. Inside the main bag, there were two wide mesh pockets with zippers. Behind the handle, there was an electronics pocket with soft lining, and then two utility pockets behind that, which came in handy for COVID supplies like hand sanitizer and wet wipes. In the stationary pocket, there were multiple zippered layers, which I found helpful just to stay organized. It's really handy if you are particular about where things go.
The only thing I disliked about the bag was the computer slot. It was positioned against the back like most computer compartments are in backpacks, but this bag was so deep, I found it difficult to access my computer quickly without removing other items. However, it has a water bladder compartment behind the back cushion. I found that my computer fit in there just fine, so that's what I used it for.
As far as comfort is concerned, it worked well. It had a harness and chest strap for support, and the straps were easy to adjust. I would recommend it if you need to carry around a lot of stuff in travel or camping. It's too big for my daily needs, though.
Pros:
Lots of pockets and organizational features
Spacious and easy to haul big loads
Comfortable with supportive features
Cons:
Computer slot inaccessible when bag is full
Best Used for:
Travel, camping, or anything where you need to carry a lot of gear
Would Recommend:
Yes
