Great for EDC
This is my EDC light. I carry it everywhere I go. No gruff from TSA when flying. Very handy. Easily stows in the pocket. Operates off of normal AA batteries. Batteries last for a long time, even with heavy use. Easily adaptable to use with a handgun for low light shooting.
Just what I wanted
I wanted a really bright light that ran on common AA batteries which I can get cheaper then CR125s. I don't like flashlights that strobe and stuff so this simple on/off was a plus. This light is stupid bright to the point where used in a defensive capacity your threat would be blind for a few seconds giving you time to fight or flee as necessary. Carry spare batteries if you need to use for long periods but this is a great light.

Tactical 225 lumens
This 5.11 flashlight does everything promised. It is bright, 225 lumens, light and easy to carry, in hand or pocket, and uses cheap AA batteries. I use it before dawn and after dark to walk the dog in the mtns, with bear and coyotes close. It lights my path though rain, now, ice and mud. When the dog wants a walk, even before dawn, we walk the trails safe and secure. The light is also long enough to use as impact device, if needed. Batteries last a long time. Great value.
