Most Helpful Positive Review A well designed, inexpensive holster.
Very satisfied Pros: Exceptional value for the money Cons: Very stiff snap
Most Helpful Negative Review Affordably Functional
The fit gets a little tight when all 7.5" of the pocket is needed. The revolver will go in and strap down but until it gets broke in, revolver entry needs an extra shove to properly fit. Other than that, it works wonderfully.

Great open carry option for the outdoors

by Justin, from KY, United States Written on January 30, 2016
Holster works great with a Ruger (new) Blackhawk .357 with 6.5" bbl. There is a little room left at the bottom, since it accommodates a 7.5" bbl, but it works fine for carrying openly around the woods.

It is a little stiff, but that'll work itself out in time.

I had a lot of trouble finding a descent holster that wasn't custom made. I didn't want to spend that kind of money. So, if you have a new model Blackhawk with long barrel, this will definitely work for it.
Pros:
  • Quality, ruggedness
  • priced well
Cons:
  • Slightly Long
Best Used for:
  • Outdoor Open Carry

Keep Your Powder Dry

by lopintow53, from CA, United States Written on September 5, 2014
An economical choice for damp climates, could use a belt of its own. I am using it for my Heritage .22 cal. revolver, and the cylinder hangs up slightly on the inside top edge of holster when pushing weapon back in as my only complaint. Still an excellent value.

UM Hip Holster, 5.5-6in bbl Dbl/Single Action Revolvers

by Ekw, from CA, United States Written on January 9, 2014
On a backpack hunt, the plastic holster and stitching ripped when the weight of my backpack was on it. Luckily I noticed before it fell off and I had to carry my gun in the pack! Spend the extra money on a good all leather holster.
Pros: Price
Cons: Durability

excellent holster except belt loop

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on November 16, 2012
My 2" belt would not go through the loops. Had to use a smaller belt. Other than that it is excellent holster.
Pros: fits my revolver perfectly
Cons: needs a belt clip and/or larger belt loops
