Bought this for a trip to Thunder Ranch, OR. Didn't get to use it much as it didn't snow while there (late November). It is waterproof and VERY warm. The shell by itself is great as is the liner. The liner is somewhat bulky and the jacket is pretty heavy when worn as one piece. I can't imagine anyone complaining that this jacket didn't protect them from the elements. I have also owned the 5.11 soft shell Chameleon jacket for two years. Been through 3 TR classes and worn a lot w/ zero wear / tear. With proper layering the Chameleon jacket is warm enough for all but the harshest cold. If the Chameleon was waterproof w/ a detachable hood and sidearm access, it would be perfect. I only bought the Aggressor in the event that it turned wet while in Oregon. Nice jacket, but pretty bulky and heavy.
