Most Helpful Positive Review Awesome Jacket, but weird jacket...
This jacket is great! However, when I received it I started noticing lots of loose strings coming off of every part of the coat. Nothing has happened yet, but we will see for the future, makes me wonder if it is a real 5.11 or some rip off version someone made. However, it is a wonderful coat and I think its great! I just am worried about the durability as it seems already a zipper has broken a small bit on the end that it closes on. A retaining clip had fallen out, again I think I might have gotten ripped off by this company. Not sure, but hard to think 5.11 would sell loose threading lik...

Very nice jacket.

by Scottyman99, from ME, United States Written on May 14, 2017
I normally wear between a medium and large and the medium fits perfect. The parka is very well constructed with plenty of pockets and should be warm enough for Maine winters. It's almost summer and I can't wait for winter to wear this! lol

5.11 Aggressor parka

by Robert, from MI, United States Written on April 16, 2015
I bought this jacket for concealed carry, there are plenty of pockets inside and out. The zip out liner is nice for warmer weather to shed some bulk. During winter weather this jacket is extremely warm and cuts the wind very good. Excellent value, super quality.

This Will Keep You Warm And Dry

by Miamiair, from FL, United States Written on December 5, 2014
I needed a heavy-duty parka for a trip that promised to be cold. This garment fit the bill. Plenty of pockets; well-made. It looks good and feels good. The hood is easily detachable. The inner liner can be removed if it isn't that cold, but you need something to take a bite out of the cold, wet weather.
Pros:
  • warm
  • Plenty of pockets
Cons:
  • Heavy

Good (albeit bulky / heavy) jacket

by Legacy Reviewer, from TX, United States Written on November 27, 2013
Bought this for a trip to Thunder Ranch, OR. Didn't get to use it much as it didn't snow while there (late November). It is waterproof and VERY warm. The shell by itself is great as is the liner. The liner is somewhat bulky and the jacket is pretty heavy when worn as one piece. I can't imagine anyone complaining that this jacket didn't protect them from the elements. I have also owned the 5.11 soft shell Chameleon jacket for two years. Been through 3 TR classes and worn a lot w/ zero wear / tear. With proper layering the Chameleon jacket is warm enough for all but the harshest cold. If the Chameleon was waterproof w/ a detachable hood and sidearm access, it would be perfect. I only bought the Aggressor in the event that it turned wet while in Oregon. Nice jacket, but pretty bulky and heavy.

Excellent for traveling within different climate zones:
Moscow (Russia), +5C, light rain- OK. Next day, Novosibirsk (in Syberia! :)), -15C, blizzard- OK. A day later: St.Petersburg (Russia), +8, rain, strong wind- OK.

Pros: Very comfortable for everyday use. A plenty of pockets.

Keeps you warm

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on January 5, 2011
This is one amazing winter parka. The only thing that comes close is a down long coat I purchased in the 1960's. This parka is warm, wind and water proof. It is perfect for our Minnesota winters. Everything works just fine. Attention to detail is first class. This is by far my most important winter acquisition this season.
Pros: Warm, warm, warm with lots of pockets
Cons: A bit bulky-but that's what makes it warm
