Wish it had a velcro snap on the front pocket
I bought these primarily as a way to use my conceal and carry permit more effectively rather than an IWB holster but without velcro on the front pockets it doesn't really do much good because I have to worry about my gun slipping out when I sit or run. Plus the back pockets that do have the velcro snaps pattern too much to keep my gun in the back pockets, not to mention sitting would be an issue. The lady I spoke with on the phone at Optics planet apparently did not know the lay out of the pants because I had called to double check that the velcro was on the front pockets and she said yes base...

511 tactical shorts
The shorts are very comfortable. They seem well constructed and of good quality. The shorts fit true to size. Good amount of pockets. I wear them at work and can fit everything I need in the pockets. I wish they were a little less expensive and I would have purchased a few more pairs. I recommend these shorts

Good quality. Excellent price. Fits well. Have been buying for 15yrs. I am a sailor and the many pockets,come in very handy on a sail boat. The shorts are very durable. They last longer than most brand name shorts that the sailing community buys. The best shorts that I have even owned. Great for working and going to dinner.

5.11 Tactical SHorts
I have been happily wearing the 5.11 pants for years, so I thought it was time to try the shorts. Basically the shorts are the same design as the heavy duty multiple pocketed pants, but obviously with less material below the knee. I use them as walking shorts around town and for 4 to 6-hour hikes. I love them.
