Sharky's Review of ACCU-TAC BR-4 G2 Bipod
Just to be fair, my only other bipod is a spring loaded, 50.00 inexpensive one from Bass Pro. Given that information, I don't have much of a barometer to guage the Accu-Tac with...but let me tell you this. I will never settle for anything less at this point. I currently have it set up on an RPR in the 308 cal. (Ruger bolt action for folks who are unfamiliar with it) Like the title says, it is built like a tank. That being said, it does come with poundage. If that extra weight is something of concern. Then this might not be for you. The legs move by pulling down and sliding down to the desired position. Once there, the high tension will pull it back up into the desired slot. Now that it is there, it does not move until you pull on it again. To extend the leg, just pull down till you get the desired length. It will lock into place and can only be released be a tilt lever. Since it is also under tension, it will spring backup into its original position. This model has the ability to cant to some degree left or right. In the end, I will say that I am forever sold on Accu-Tac's USA made bipod products.
