ADE Red Dot
This red dot is very well made for the money. Micro in size makes it awesome for any pistol that needs to be concealed or just any smaller firearm in general. Great quality at a fraction of the cost on most compared red dots.
ADE punches well beyond the price
I shoot a lot. I build rifles and pistols. And when I tell you, for the money, there is not a better optics company out there...trust. I have this optic along with a few of their others and their pro-zoom 5-20 scope and their longer range 6-25 scope as well. Dude the glass is what stands out. So good for the money. I have a couple higher end vortex and NF scopes and these come pretty dang close. Not as good but for the price...unbeatable. And all my ADE optics have ridden the lightning for thousands of rounds and they hold true. Zeros hold and mounts hold. Only issues I've had is with some of their screws stripping but I just get better screws. Done deal. I will continue recommending their products for those who can't spring for the higher end stuff. And when ballin on a budget...slap this bad boy on your jammy and send it!

Keep your expectations low
Bought this to put on a Ruger 10/22. It's a low budget sight with low budget features. The red "dot" is more like a red "line" not crisp at all. You need to remove the sight to replace the battery, retaining zero might be an issue. Beware, did not come with a battery. Will be returning.

Works, but Definitely Shows Its Price Point
I bought the RD3-002 knowing it was a budget optic, and that expectation helped. It does work — it holds zero and hasn’t failed electrically — but it definitely shows where corners were cut. The dot isn’t as clean as I’d like, especially at higher brightness, and the housing feels a bit bulky compared to newer designs. It’s usable and dependable enough for range work, but it never quite feels refined.

Acceptable Budget Optic With Clear Compromises
This red dot feels like a classic “budget compromise” optic. It does the basics: holds zero, provides a usable dot, and mounts securely. At the same time, the glass isn’t especially clear, battery life requires attention, and the dot isn’t as crisp as I’d like. I don’t regret buying it, but I also wouldn’t choose it again now that I know its limitations.

Decent Performance, Finish Wears Quickly
Functionally, the RD3-002 hasn’t let me down. It turns on every time and stays zeroed. What disappointed me was the finish. After a few months of normal use and transport, the coating is already showing wear and scuffs. It doesn’t affect performance, but it does make the optic look more beat up than it should this early on.

Okay for Range Use, Wouldn’t Rely on It Beyond That
I’ve used this optic for several months as a range-only sight. It’s been fine for practice and drills, but I personally wouldn’t rely on it for anything more serious. The dot can wash out a bit in harsh lighting, and the glass quality isn’t great compared to better optics. It works, but it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence beyond controlled range conditions.

Holds Zero, but Ergonomics Are Mediocre
I mounted this red dot, zeroed it once, and it has stayed zeroed — no complaints there. My issue is more with ergonomics. The brightness adjustment isn’t very intuitive, and the buttons don’t have much tactile feedback. When wearing gloves, it’s even harder to adjust. Once set, it’s fine, but making quick changes isn’t convenient.

Dot Works, But Not Ideal for My Eyes
I want to be fair here because the optic itself has been reliable. However, for my eyes, the dot tends to bloom more than I’d like at higher brightness settings. On lower settings it looks fine, but outdoors I sometimes have to crank it up, and that’s where clarity suffers for me. I can still shoot accurately, but it’s not the cleanest dot I’ve used. This may not bother everyone, but it’s worth mentioning.

Functional, but Feels Like an Older Generation Optic
I’ve been using the RD3-002 for a while now, mostly on a rifle I use for casual range time. It has never failed outright, which I appreciate, but it definitely feels like an older-generation design. The housing is bulkier than I expected, and the controls don’t feel especially refined. Everything works, but nothing feels smooth or modern. If you’re coming from newer micro dots, this will feel like a step back in design, even though it still gets the job done.
