This combination transformed my Shield EZ. The dot is easy to see, the controls are simple, and the mount feels extremely secure. I had it zeroed in less than one magazine and it's stayed consistent after multiple range sessions. Very happy with this purchase.

I considered sending my pistol out to have the slide milled, but between shipping, machining costs, and being without my carry gun for weeks, I decided to try this setup instead.

I'm honestly glad I did. The adapter plate locks into the rear sight dovetail securely, and the optic feels solid once everything is tightened properly. I followed the instructions, cleaned the threads with alcohol, applied blue Loctite, and let everything cure overnight before heading to the range.

Since then I've fired well over 2,000 rounds, including defensive ammunition and several training courses. The optic has maintained zero throughout. I also appreciate how compact the RD3-009 is because it doesn't make the pistol feel top-heavy or awkward to carry. I've owned my Shield EZ for several years and finally decided to try a red dot.

The included mounting plate fit my pistol exactly as described. The optic mounted securely and sits lower than I expected, which makes finding the dot during presentation very natural. I had to make only a few clicks of adjustment before it was zeroed.

I've put around 500 rounds through it so far, and the zero hasn't changed. This is one of the better upgrades I've made to the pistol.

This mount fit my factory rear sight dovetail perfectly. I took my time removing the original sight, cleaned the dovetail thoroughly, and followed the instructions with blue Loctite. The optic mounted securely and centered without any filing or fitting.

After roughly 700 rounds, including several boxes of defensive loads, everything is still holding zero. The mount hasn't shifted and I haven't needed to retighten the screws. I especially like how low the optic sits because it makes finding the dot much quicker than I expected.
