1. The laser will run continuously for about 7 hours straight before turning off. I could not believe this so I ran the test three times. Same result. The green laser version only lasts about 4 to 5 hours in the test.
2. After it turns off, you can turn it on again and it will run for 5 minutes more. Several times.
3. This means you can turn the laser on before you leave the house. Holster it and go out for 6 or 7 hours and not have to worry about turning the laser on if you have to use your pistol! So the switch is not that important any more in most situations. Also it's rechargeable, so replacing or running out of batteries is not a concern!
4. if you turn it on in the blinking mode, it may last even longer than 7 hours - i haven't tested this yet. The blinking function is often used on laser sights to extend the battery life, so re-read point number 3.
5. It did not show any adverse symptoms under heavy recoil. Just be sure you tighten it down good. Mine loosen up after a few shots, but is no very secure after I re-tightened it harder.
6. The red beam is as bright, and big, as any Crimson Trace laser I own, (3 of them). The green laser version is also very bright, as green lasers tend to be. Pick your favorite color. Both are very bright in the low light/dark. Both are almost invisible outdoors in the bright sunlight. All laser suck in the bright sunlight outdoors. You will never be able to see a red laser against a reddish background in the daylight or a green laser...
