I’ve tried a few offset mounts from other brands and this one stands out for its simplicity and quality. It doesn’t have unnecessary features that add weight or complication — just a tough, straightforward 45° Picatinny mount that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’ve mounted both a small reflex sight and occasionally even a laser on it, and the thing hasn’t loosened up or shifted once. Whether I’m walking through brush at slower paces or doing fast sequences on steel, having that secondary sight ready at a slight angle has improved my reaction time and accuracy. Plus, it looks clean — not bulky or awkward.

I like that this mount doesn’t try to be fancy — it’s straightforward but it does its job extremely well. Mounted a compact shield footprint dot on it and found myself using it more than I expected. For transitional drills that require a fast acquisition at close range, this mount transforms the rifle’s utility. When I’m engaging targets under pressure, the offset dot gives me a fast aiming point without compromising my primary sight’s zero or field of view. It’s well machined, fits snugly, and seems to be holding up well after regular use — definitely a recommended upgrade if you use multiple sighting systems.

I was hesitant to try an angled mount at first because I didn’t want unnecessary bulk, but this unit is subtle and doesn’t feel intrusive. It’s light enough that I barely notice the added weight, yet it feels rugged enough to hold up through recoil and regular range use. What impressed me most was how intuitive it feels when switching from my magnified scope to the reflex dot during drills — I don’t have to think about it, my eyes just find the dot. That’s a testament to both the mount’s geometry and its solid construction. The screws have never loosened after dozens of range days, which gives me confidence that it’s built for real use.

The HM8 mount gives me a genuinely useful way to integrate two sighting systems without spending big on more complex gear. I’m frequently running dynamic range drills where I’ll engage steel at different distances in quick order. Having a magnified optic up top and a reflex dot at 45° means I don’t have to shift eyeboxes drastically — just a slight tilt gets me onto the dot. I’ve mounted an ADE RD3-006 dot, and it’s been reliable, easy to acquire, and repeatable — everything I could ask for in a secondary sight. Mount feels solid, doesn’t intrude on handguard space, and fits into my workflow naturally.

This mount has completely changed how I use my tactical shotgun. Before, I had one primary optic and no obvious place to put a red dot without crowding the top rail. The 45° HM8 plate solved that — small reflex sight off to the side gives me a fast, instinctive aiming option for close shots, and when I shift back to longer slugs or buckshot with more range, my primary optic stays undisturbed. It mounts snugly and doesn’t wobble, even after plenty of recoil and handling. It’s easy enough to switch between the two sights in the heat of practice drills, and I’ve found it boosts confidence on unexpected shots.

I added this 45° offset mount to my duty rifle so I could pair a small red dot next to my magnified optic, and it’s become one of those pieces I didn’t realize I needed until I actually used it. The design is simple but effective — once mounted with the appropriate torque and thread locker, it stays firm through all kinds of movement and recoil. I used a Swampfox Sentinel on it, and the footprint lined up perfectly. What I didn’t expect was how comfortable it feels to transition between optics during drills — I can keep cheek weld on the rifle and simply tilt my head a few degrees to swap eyes to the offset dot. For quick-react scenarios, that’s huge.

I always liked the idea of having two optics: a magnified one up top and a reflex for quick shots. This 45° offset mount makes that strategy not just possible, but practical. The mount fits securely to a Picatinny rail and doesn’t feel like a flimsy add-on. I’ve used it on a rifle and also a tactical shotgun with similar success. Easy to install, easy to switch optics, and excellent repeatability.

I’ve put this through some tough conditions — dusty ranges, rainy days, and even some muddy training — and it’s performed without complaint. Once torqued down with the proper tools the mount stays put, and the angle makes it easy to grab a quick dot without disturbing my primary sighting setup. Over multiple months the integrity hasn’t changed, and it still feels solid every time I check it.

I didn’t expect much out of a low-priced mount, but this ended up being a real upgrade in my setup. I run the main optic for medium distances and a small Burris Fastfire on the HM8 for close threats or transitions — and it’s smooth every time I switch. No rattles, no alignment drift. It’s also small enough that it doesn’t snag on gear or clothing unexpectedly, which is a nice bonus.

This offset mount has become a staple on my tactical-oriented rifle. Having the red dot at 45° makes transitions natural when I want a reflex option with minimal shift in head position. The mount is lightweight but rigid — I haven’t experienced any play between sessions. I also appreciate that it accommodates all the common dot footprints, so I didn’t have to worry about compatibility when upgrading sights later.
