I’m giving this 3 stars because it is everything you expect and nothing more. The quality is good enough for use but this a Diamond in the rough kinda product. If you’re looking for an inexpensive option to give your AKM variant a Dragunov look this is the most inexpensive option and lends it self to fitment and “bubba” gun smithing. In my experience most everything with AKM requires some amount of fitment. I purchased a slant cut Yugo M77 and wanted to give it a Dragunov look and feel. Figured that I would experiment with this stock because of the price. The gamble paid off. I was able to fit this to my M77 with minimal work. I was able to 3d print some spacers to add for length of pull and accommodate a recoil pad. If you’re starting out and worry about wasting your money or having to do your own work and fitment this isn’t for you. If you think you’re getting a deal this is probably also not for you. If you like tinkering and working on your own guns this is something you can mess with and not GAF if you mess it up. Handguards are basically trash and should be given away to charity, but you might get charged with a crime for cruelty to your fellow man.

The stock looks great, but I had to buy additional hardware to install it. And it needed some trimming to make it fit properly. I installed it on a ARSENAL INC SLR-107R-12 AK47 RIFLE NATO LENGTH BUTTSTOCK. With a bit of work it will look awesome on your firearm. I would have given it more stars if I didn't have to buy additional hardware.

I ordered this stock for my Romanian wasr 10 .. all my other guns are black an I just wanted something to change it up a little an have an old school look .. went on rather easy after a little trial and error .. just make sure you have the pistol grip bolt started before you drill your hole in the top portion of the stock .. other then that, it goes on great an fits super tight

Nice product, best price I could find... CHEAPER THAN WALMART! Stock fairly easy to install, forearm hand-guards not so much. Directions could be a little simpler and easier. Reminds me of instructions TRANSLATED from Chinese. Would recommend, and I will be back for more from OpticsPlanet, but I will not attempt another review until they fix this site. The hardest time leaving a simple review that I have ever had!

I've had a NIB milled receiver MAK 90 for 15 years but hated the thumbhole furniture. No one had a stock to fit this thing. Finally got the AT handguard set. Easy to install and fit perfect. It has turned a uncomfortable rifle into a fun to shoot semi auto. And with an inexpensive red dot, also from Optics Planet, it is an effective go to gun. Save the MAK 90 junk furniture to sell to some fool that wants that stuff. Install this stock to make it fun and useful.
