I'm updating my previous post to inform that I've thrown the stock away and have purchased a magpul zhukov stock. There's simply too many flaws with this stock. On top of what I wrote earlier, the hinge sticks out way too far outward, the plastic somehow became exceedingly weaker, the surface of the plastic is a pain to clean off. I was still unable to find a proper way to secure the stock, pulling hard enough will detach it from the rifle. Save the $70+ spend a more and grab something stronger.

It's not the first time I've wasted money and I'm sure it won't be the last, but the thought of feeling ripped off has left a lasting impression. I'm never buying anything manufactured by this company again.

It's made of weak plastic, on the box it says made in USA, but given the quality that's almost hard to believe. The adjusting lever is very feeble, one mistake and it can snap off. I swear this thing feels like a 3D printed object, it's so easy to scratch the surface of the plastic with my finger nail and leave permanent marks, I was close to sending it back but I figured it's not that bad, the surface is fixable with krylon. There's an o-shaped ring that secures the butt stock from the folding end, just where the cylinder connects(reference pic), well it didn't come with mine, I assumed it help keeps the butt stock tight to the folding stock, because with enough force, the butt stock can be pulled from the folding stock, If there was a better way to secure it besides using super glue, I don't know any other way. Also, when looking at the photo, you'll notice at the base of the cheek rest stamped "ATI." Yeah, mine doesn't have that on there neither. Honestly though, it's not that big of a deal, I just thought it was nice to have a brand named product, personally I think it adds to the value, but that's just my opinion.

I'm going to keep this because I don't want to go through the hassle of repackaging and resending, I can always order more stocks. I am however going to be real cautious the next time I spot "ATI Outdoors." They couldn't even sand the plastic burr off the corners and seams, not applying a lasting krylon or cerakote finish to the surface is one thing, but at le...

This folding stock is alright but not the greatest and I probably should have held off. Even when you line up the tube into the hole with the tab there is a lot of slack left and right and you don't know if it is bottomed out or not and assume it is by not over tightening the screw. When you look at it from the side the stock looks as if it is curving upwards. It gives the AK a flimsy feel.

Switched out piece in under 10 minutes. Replaced 'classic' knife-blade poly stock.
Very flexible adjustments/great OpticsPlanet price point.
May look abit 'gothic' but ATI seems to have gone weight reduction route vs. 'filled-in' rear.
Only criticism is folding lock mechanism that's somewhat stiff/positional upon arrival but is 'wearing in'. It's 'quicker' just not 'quick' yet but I'm confident that's coming in time/use.
