Most Helpful Negative Review very very light
I was surprised at how light this product is. They call it polymer, which sounds like some kind of space age nasa stuff but it looks and feels like plastic to me. By the feel of the product I think it's a question of when it will break not if it will break.

Purchased the Advanced Technology BIP0300 Universal Ftwght Bipod (Black)from Optics Planet in May of 2011. Attached it to the front end of the hand guard on my old 'A2 and began enjoying it right away! This bi-pod made the bench rest more convenient and my shot groups improved markedly! The fixed length of the legs gives plenty of clearance of 10 and 20 rd mags but, a 30 rounder will turn it into a tri-pod while resting on a flat surface. The light weight is not even noticeable on my rifle and I appreciate that, especially when humping it through the mountains during deer season. It's plastic construction is robust enough to easily handle the weight of the AR-15.

The attachment was a little awkward but, that may be because use of the bi-pod is new to me. Also, it is difficult to find a comfortable placement while slung on my shoulder whether the legs are folded in the forward position or rearward. I guess I'll have to carry it in my hands when in the field (Duh!).

It's great to have the option of swivel or fixed mount. I am just not sure which one I prefer. The swivel mount seems the most practical because you can adjust your point of aim easier while prone. The con to the swivel mount is when the bi-pod is folded forward it has a swing arc of approximately 60 degrees (about 30 degrees from either side of barrel axis)... and it WILL swing while jostling with the sling on your shoulder. With bi-pod folded to the rear there is no swinging.

The fixed mount i...

If you want lightweight, zeroing bi-pod and do not have picatinny rail, this is a good one.
Pros: lightweight cheap
Cons: tightening the legs had to be modified for higher power rifle
