My stock was the furthest thing from a "drop in".
When I received the stock there was flash in the magazine well that had to be trimmed out, turned out to be a small issue but where is the QC to catch this?
Then the fun began, when trying the install the stamped steel upper the bolts for the receiver would not go thru the stock. The recess in the stock was too high so I had to file the stamped steel cover down to get clearance, this took hours and forced be to repaint the steel part. ATI has some mold issues in this area.
The first time I went to the range after this stock conversion I could not get the magazine out. After disassembly I determined the stock was allowing the receiver to sit too low causing the mag to jam. I ended up putting a piece of foam between the stock and receiver to solve this issue.
The final issue was the rear receiver bolt was always difficult to get the nut started. I finally figured out the rear cover in back of the receiver was sitting too high. After another 30 minutes of filing and fitting this allowed the rear bolt to finally be installed semi-easily.
The gun now shoots well but if a person does not have gunsmithing skills they would not get this conversion to work.
Pros:
- Turns and "fugly duckling" gun into something that nice to look at.
Cons:
- Way too much work, I have about 4 hours of filing, mods, $100 of range time to make this work.
Best Used for:
- Gunsmith training
- gun smithing
- training for gun smithing
- Gun Smith training

This stock is everything I hoped it would be, and more. I'm thrilled with the quality and finish of the stock. Installation was easy with the included instructions, and I didn't have to modify anything. With this stock, the gun no longer looks like a cheap toy, and the added weight makes the gun feel as durable as it is. The only drawback, is that the added weight makes carrying it a little more difficult, but I'll get used to it. If you have a Hi-Point carbine, you owe it to yourself to get this stock! I recommend the ATI buttpad too.
Pros: Quality, fit & finish, appealing design, rock solid, weight.
Cons: Not available in other colors/finishes, weight.

Great product, easy installation. Makes for a much more comfortable shooting experience, and looks awesome! Nice upgrade over original stock! Will be buying their stock for my Mosin Nagant soon!
Pros: Easy Installation, Increased Comfort
Cons: Doesn't come with upper picatinny rail, have to purc hase that seperately if you want to mount scope.
