I was afraid when I got this stock that it would not fit and I would have to do some work to it. I was wrong it fit perfectly no modifications at all and i love the look of my gun.

I was fully expecting to have to some sanding or filling of the stock for proper fit. To my surprise, my Chinese SKS slid right in. The picatiny rails are a big reason I purchased this model. I have already attached a vertical fore grip and have plans to attach a tactical light. I am about 5’10” and with the stock set at its shortest position, it is just shy of being too long. The folding stock is easy to operate. My only concern is that I wished the pistol grip had a more secure attachment. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

My in depth-review of this product will cover a few key design features as well as my overall opinion of the furniture.

-Light-Weight
This furniture is pretty light and easy to handle. That being said, depending on the length of the barrel of your SKS, the final result could possibly make your build slighty front heavy. I have a yugo that came with the grenadier 16' barrel, so mine ended up being slightly front heavy, which isnt too big of an issue in my eyes.

-Ergonomics
This furniture is generally low profile, with plenty of space to mount optics, lasers, lights, grips ect. The upper handguard it comes with is pretty good, and fits into the build pretty well with minimal workage of the furniture material. The stock folds to the left and doesnt pinch fingers while doing so, nor is the latch too dificult to work quickly.

-Possible need to manipulate the furniture
The SKS is a well renowned rifle, produced in many different places over a long period of time in history. That being said, theres a good chance your SKS will differ from others. This may result in you having to remove material from the furniture in order to get various parts to seat correctly, such as the gas tube and piston and which ever SKS magazine you decide to use.

If you are inexperienced with gunsmithing and making minor adjustments to parts and furniture, have a professional seat the parts for you as to not risk damaging your new furniture unnecessarily.

My only wish was that there was less plastic, the pistol grip is held in with one screw and it already stripped.

Most other reviews talk about shaving away at the plastic to make it easier to mount their rifles. All imma say is for the magwell yes, but all it takes is some slight stretching and a nice rubber mallet it feels really snug and secure but after a 10-12 breakdowns it is a breeze.

I was very pleased with this purchase. It was just what I was looking for and it was very easy to install. I would recommend this product for the value and quality of product and the ease of installation

Nice stock but did have to carve the trigger area quite a bit to make a 1958 sks rifle fit and the fold up stock is secure in the extended position but is a little loose when folded,the end product looks good �

I put this ATI on my Norinco SKS. I couldn’t get the removable mags to fit. I took it to a professional gunsmith and he couldn’t even get a removable mag to fit. His advice was just don’t mess with the original way the SKS was built. He even tried to file a few spots with no luck. I would absolutely not buy this product. Looks cool on YouTube but not so good for the average guy like me. Needless to say, this thing went back into the box and won’t be going on anything. Don’t waist your money on this.

Install was easy and looks good, not real crazy about the folding portion of the stock and the buffer tube is plastic but for the price cant complain. Shipping was quick and optics planet had the best price
