Works, but feels flimsy - ATI Outdoors Strikeforce Shotgun Forend

I ordered this forend to to go with the ATI stock (which I couldn't be happier with, excellent stock!) that I got for my Mossberg 590A1, it looks cool enough and the optional rails were a plus. However, the rails are on the sides only, the image shown on with a rail/sling mount on the bottom is inaccurate. Not a big deal, but I thought I should mention it. Anyway, installing it was easy enough, the instructions were clear and all the parts were there.

Now for the bad. The fit and finish just isn't there. It feels kinda cheap. The quality of the polymer seems low grade, the molding seams are very apparent, and it's rattly. I went back over it to make sure I used the correct adapters and trimmed everything well (you have to cut some molding rings from the inside), but even after double checking it still had a bad rattle and rotational movement.

The issues with the finish like leaving the raised seams should be corrected by ATI, but the fit may just be up the model of shotgun you put it on. It is a universal fit forend and this sort of thing pops up with one size fits all types of products. Their price point isn't much lower than competitors that make a better forend, so I would go with one made specifically for the model of shotgun you have.
