PRISONGUARD1's Review of Advantage Arms Glock 17-22 MOD-CA Conversion Caliber

1st of all, OPTICS PLANET said 'Availability was IN STOCK'. NOPE, I ordered on 9/27/20 and picked up from Post Office on 10/26/2020, or delivery would have been 10/27/20.

2nd, The product itself. I really didn't have high expectations as past experience with AR conversions have inherent problems. One of our CCW instructors uses some type of Glock 22 conversion on his training pistol, always seems to have a feeding issue.
The only initial issue I had was it didn't seem to want to slide onto pistol frame. The front end of Recoil spring/rod has a U-shaped piece that sits in end of Slide. I just needed to push it down a little to allow the Slide to finish seating onto Frame.
I took 5 different types of ammo to range to see which works best or not at all. CCI Blazer, Federal Hollow Point, Remington Golden Bullet, Copper Top and Hollow Point, and Winchester M-22. I only loaded 5 rounds of each into a magazine. The 1st round of Winchester was a FT-eject, I racked Slide, Extractor caught shell and spit it out, next 4 rounds were smooth. All other ammo's ran perfect with initial 5 rounds per mag.
I have a huge jug of Federal Copper Hollow Point in my Range Car. I loaded 3 Magazines to full 10 round capacity and commenced a Break-in. All in all I shot 120 rounds of the Federal and 30 rounds of others, 1 Stovepipe, 1 Double feed, and previous FT-eject. Keeping in mind this is a Brand New product still needing to be broken in. A 1 1/2% malfunction rate is completely acceptable to me.
I was surprised that the rear sight was an adjustable type. Sighting was good for me out of the box. I don't use a killer grip with primary hand, I let support hand supply the main grip on pistol (Glock specifically), only trigger finger on primary hand does any actual work. I find this method works on all Glock models, for me anyway. Point of aim and impact are very close this way. At 25 yards standing, I was hitting a 4" square with regularity. Only time will tell how it will hold up, but it seems 'ADVANTAGE ARMS' has a very good warranty program. I gave it 5 STARS, because it does what it's intended to do, and I actually took it out and went through several rounds. It doesn't just "looks awesome Bro, can't wait to shoot it, 5 STARS, WA HUH!"
