Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced upper
Definitely worth the money! The fact that it comes with the barrel but and is already timed and aligned with the gas tube saves so much time and effort when Installing the gas system. Also comes assembled with dust cover and forward assist which is a plus. Makes handguard installation a breeze.

Nice upper with a catch…
The upper itself is fantastic, where it fails in my opinion is the handguard options. The only compatible handguards that Aero sells are huge. If your hands are similar to Shaqs, you should be good. If you are use to one handing 2 liter coke bottles you’ll love their handguards. If you don’t fal...

Very nice!!
This my second one, the first one wasn’t the enhanced lower still really nice. The enhanced upper pair easier with the enhanced hand guard it bolt directly to upper receiver. I’ll be using the other upper for another build with different hand guard since the enhanced hand guard didn’t come with barrel nut and it wasn’t in stock anywhere.

AP is excellent
This part came in perfect. No issues. I've shot 100 rds already, attached a 20" Faxon match barrel and after breaking it in the shots are touching at 100 yds.

Lets you skip all issues related to barrel nut clamp type handguards
This upper receiver design was created to address long running issues with free float handguards that use the typical two bolt barrel clamp design.
The problem there is that most of those designs use a short proprietary barrel nut as the bearing surface for the clamping end of the handguard. In some designs that nut is also completely smooth and round. That leaves just the clamping force and perhaps some small aluminum tabs as the only things that prevent the handguard from rotating, flexing or even coming completely loose in the worst case. None of that is good.
The Aero design replaces that system altogether with a large, solid, fixed mount area that enhanced Aero handguards are bolted to by four sets of two screws spaced evenly around the entire front of the receiver. The possibility of rotation is completely eliminated, and the possibility of the handguard ever flexing or coming loose is reduced to near zero.
The downside is that you only get these benefits with Aero enhanced handguards that make use of the 8 screw attachment design. Other handguard designs can supposedly be installed with shims, but I don't see the point in not using this receiver as it was intended and getting the full benefit of the design.
Also, some people that like very slim handguards may not care for the diameter of the Aero enhanced guards. But I don't see the diameter as a drawback at all. It allows me to use almost any of the adjustable gas blocks under the guard, including my favorite ...

.300 Build
I have an Aero Precision lower so I decided to go with the same upper as my AR15. I am using this to build out a .300 blackout with a BA barrel. I like the sleekness and the way the barrel and handguard attach to this upper so this is why I chose this product. I really like AP products and they have not failed me yet!

300 blackout
This is for my 300 blackout build! I have an Aero Precision 5.56 and I love it! I love the fit with my existing lower which was an important part of my decision to get this upper. Excited to shoot it for years to come.

Excellent - Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver
The Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver is great and the Aero Precision enhanced handguard fits it like a glove. There is no need to try and torque the barrel nut to the correct position to make the handguard align. Just torque the barrel nut to the recommended spec and slide on the handguard then install the screws.
