Threaded in perfect. I actually bought this along with a KNS duplex front sight..got them both the same day and realized the KNS was a larger thread post..so went with the post from this kit as well, using 100% the aero kit. For installation I recommend a light coat of aeroshell on the post threads, and I tiny drop of slip2000 on the spring detent.

cleaner than pictured
It was Just what I needed. It was much Better quality than I had expected actually. The front sight post was much cleaner than it appears in the pictures. Optics planet had fast shipping, as always.

Standard Front Sight
High quality front A2 style front sight post. Installed with no issues and adjusted to point of aim at 25 yards easily. Use on any build with a front sight base that’s from the 80’s or later. (I used this for a Colt 723 build - which has an A1 rear sight and an A2 front sight)

A2 Front Sight Post
Aero Precision has made a name for themselves in the AR sector. This front sight is no different. Looks great. Mil spec. Use for builds without a carrying handle. I would recommend to anyone considering.
