Good free float hand guard but could be better.
The Quantum hand guard is a good modular keymod handguard that provides plenty of attachment points in addition to ability to recess a suppressor inside of it. This could be a great free float handguard if it included the barrel nut that is required for a standard upper receiver. However the required Aero Precision BAR Barrel Nut is an additional 40 bucks and the item description makes no mention of this.
Aero Precision Quantum Handguard
I had a M4E1 enhanced upper and needed a hand guard to fit it. This handguard does not require a barrel nut because it's made onto the upper. It is a very secure fit and Looks Great. I would reccomend it for anyone using the M4E1 enhanced upper

Aero quality
Great option if you want to tuck a suppressor. A little larger diameter (2") but super smooth quality finish feels good in hand. It's a little different than the super slims on my other AR's (UTG pro, BCM kmr) but I like the difference now that I've run it some. Even with adding barrel nut to price it's a fair deal for Aero precision high value and consistant quality.

Great handguard, but no included barrel nut
FIRST off, optics planet is great. However, I waited 3 months for this handguard. The backorderable label was too small for me to notice the first time. SECOND, absolutely love the FEEL of the handguard. THIRD, front rail attachment DOeS NOT for any flip up iron sight unless you have it hanging off the front of the rail which kind of makes it look weird. FOURTH and probably the most important and NAGGING comment is that IT DIDNT come with a barrel nut. That’s a game changer for me, because I could have found plenty of lower priced handguards that feel good. This one was $60 on optics planet, however I could hardly find the barrel nut for it because aero precision has proprietary parts and when I did I ended up forming out 35$ for just that. So really this handguard has been closer to 100$ when equating the cost of shipping and added necessary parts.

Great quality
This handguard is very high quality. Large enough to fit a suppressor under it. I just wish I had known I had to buy the barrel nut or the m4e1 upper receiver to go with it. So buyer beware, this handguard does not come with a barrel nut and will not work with a mil spec barrel nut.
