Very solid and accurate
I have used many different Aero Precision products in the past and the quality has always been great. Very well assembled upper with a heavy profile barrel that has and maintains great accuracy. This is not lightweight but was purchased for a bench rifle project that is almost always shot with a bi-...

Will not properly function factory .223 ammo
Long story short I have tried numerous brands of ammo, different buffer systems and even sent it back to Aero for inspection when it would not function factory .223 ammo. Was told by Aero that my brand new Aero BCG was the issue with headspacing. Got it back, still will not function .223 ammo. It wi...

solid choice for a SPR
It shoots great groups for me with few different ammo types.
The 1/8 twist barrel chambered in .223 Wylde is a good way to go if your not sure what bullet you’re going to be putting through it.

Couple hundred round review
Run mine with a rifle buffer. Out of the past 2-300 rounds, I had 3 failures to feed with 55 grain 223, which i would say is more due to the ammo then the gun itself. I can get about 1 moa with my bipod running 55 grain. Overall for mine I like it, only downside is with the regular heavy barrel she is hefty, but havnt had issue with poi changing with heat yet. Dont run her super hard or fast, but hasnt really left me with any complaints I cant blame on ammo I bought during the pandemic.
Pros:
- Accurate
- Rigid
- plenty of rail
Cons:
- Heavy

Did not cycle. Visable fouling (gas leak) deposited on barrel, under the gas tube where it connects
Did not cycle. Visible fouling (gas leak) deposited on barrel, under the gas tube where it connects to the barrel. I shot about 30 rounds and had around 50% failure to feed. I tried this upper on 2 different aero lowers and 2 aero BCGs before inspecting the gas block and seeing the described deposits. (I did give a quick inspection and light cleaning prior to going to the range.)
Very disappointed on the performance. But I'm even more disappointed to read similar reviews of Aero precision customer service giving some shadey responses; They have a problem and I would expect a company to stand by their product.
They have / had a good reputation, hope this is not trend. But just to be safe, I will be looking elsewhere for my next upper.
Note, I have 2 other aero rifles that work great.
