Won’t Cycle
Gas issue. Won’t cycle. Completely disappointed. 18 inch, fluted barrel. Visible gas issue. Aero said to ship it in but I’ve read where this has been an issue and they did nothing about it. Hopefully the return goes well here.
Bad upper receiver sent
I was excited to receive the complete upper to only find out the upper it self is out of spec. after battling stuck and locked/seized bolt and two charging handles destroyed. took the complete upper to a gunsmith to figure out the issue. received a call toady stating the upper is out of spec big time and to submit a claim with Aero. Now Aero doesn't make this process easy it appears. Clearly you get what you pay for.

Update *short cycle sally
Update to previous review, had what I thought was gas issues causing unit to not cycle correctly. After months of trying new ideas and messing around with it, changing buffer weights, gas blocks ect. Ended up opening up the gas port to .101 and I haven’t had any problems since. After the fact Found what I believe is the actual issue and that is the FDE coating overspray in the receiver, didn’t notice how gummy and rough feeling the inside of the receiver actually was. I smoothed it out to the best of my ability. No longer have any issues at this point and time.

Short Cycle
I too am having difficulties with this upper. I bought in hopes that I would not be one of the unfortunate ones who has issues. To this point I have tried adjusting the gas block but with no luck fixing the issue. I am going to try a new gas block to hopefully fix this issue without having to send it back to Aero. The upper looks great and is accurate but yet to achieve accurate and reliable. I am disappointed in this result as I had high hopes for this product.

Tack driver
Loves 77gr federal gold medal match. 1/2” moa. Ended up using a bunch of different types of ammo. No issues with cycling. Not sure what the other issues were. Have put about 1000 rd Through it and impressed so far. Def likes 69/77 GR vs 55. Green tips shot the worse of all ammo fwiw.

Short cycle sally
Mine as well has a gas issue, not getting enough and short cycling. Going to try a new gas block but yeah slightly disappointing. Other than that though it’s pretty sweet. Really like the barrel profile and forend feels nice in the hands. Looks well put together. As for accuracy, didn’t even bother sighting it in yet because of the failure to function.

Great performing AR upper
This Aero Precision upper looks great and shoots great. The handguard is smooth and well finished. The fluted barrel looks amazing. I definitely recommend this AR upper. Paired with an Aero Precision bolt carrier group, Trybe charging handle.
