Built a 308AR, used Aero M5 upper and lower, first used a generic pivot pin, it worked but sits just under flush on the left side pivot pin hole meaning is difficult to push the pin out the right side enuff to get a finger nail under it to fully retract for disassembly. Most Helpful Negative Review Oversize for 308's
This pivot pin doesn't fit my Armalite AR-10. I plan to return this or at least reorder a different part that should fit better than this one. The pin measures 0.2765", compared to an AR-10's which measures 0.2750"

Aero M5 pivot pin.

A must have for your Aero M5 lower. The pin is the correct length. Other pins may work but a little shorter. Pin has a small indent in end so you can push it out easier. Although 10 bucks is quite a lot for a pin.

The right pin for an Aero-a5 AR-10 lower

This is the correct pivot pin for the Aero m5 AR-10 lower. This pin will extend all the way through so you can push the pin and disconnect the lower from the upper.

This SI option is very well made and priced. I would have loved that the SI symbol was closer to the edge but that's just my personal preference to have the mag release closer to the lower, opposed to sticking out. Very satisfied with it.

Great Fit on M5 Set

I recently purchased an Aero Precision M5 lower from another site that they completed with what seemed like A Bushmaster lpk. Many of the AR15 parts work well for the Aero M5 and other AR308 platforms but you may find like I did that the pivot pin is short and requires something to start the pin out. If you have this problem this is exactly what you need. Aero makes great products all around, this pin included. It even has a small hole to place a punch through should you have to remove it later.

  • DPMS style 308 lowers
