I use many different types of compensators for range and competition. Most of the time, I pick them for function and not necessarily for looks. When I saw the reviews on this Agency Arms 417 comp, I was intrigued by the overall look and low price that Optics Planet offers. Due to the Mail service losing my order, it took much longer than it should have to arrive but it was worth the wait. This comp is amazing! The install was a breeze and it looked like a factory Glock part. After installing it, I took it to the range for testing. I put 550 rounds through my gen 5 Glock 17 with the Agency Arms 417 and it ran flawlessly. The reduction in muzzle rise was very noticeable and follow up shots were much faster. I was using factory +P ammo which is better for a comp. If you were to use lighter practice ammo, you may have to install a lighter recoil spring to allow the slide to fully cycle to avoid malfunctions or feed problems. I would highly recommend this comp for range or competition use and it looks as good as it performs.

Solid comp. Mounts well with 0 play. Comes with loctite for set screws. Palpable difference in muzzle rise. Does extend an already long weapon but I don't mind. Great for competition shooting. Reacquire targets for faster follow up shot. Has mounting hole for front sight post but I just kept my front site location stock so I can remove comp without losing front site. Easy to clean. Easy to install/ uninstall. Great "bang" for the buck.
