Fair price, decent unit.
I read many reviews about this unit. Most were spot on. I was not expecting the same as I would from a $3,000 unit. Operation is simple. Size and shape is good to hold comfortably. Menu is easy to navigate. Focus is clear. As AGM has made clear the ASP Micro160 not a long range thermal unit. But, I ...

Using Thermal Can Be Handy ...
This thermal is a beginners device to understand and learn a thermal technology's pros and cons. Since my wife and I live in the woods, we can see at night small animals, birds and larger animals readily within 25-50 yards. I have also used it to look at the "hot spots" on the outside of the house t...

Budget Friendly results for a Budget Friendly Item!
This thermal imaging monocular was exactly what I wanted: something that I could use for airsoft, and also just to have fun with!
So: let me tell you what It's really like in your hands.
First of all, it's pretty awesome! It's just fun to use and entertaining! Secondly, it is disorienting to use. The camera, when you think about it, is on the end of a tube. So if you are slightly tilting the monocular, it makes your vision in your brain feel weird. Every now and then, the frames per second (FPS) will freeze... and then resume again. It's also pretty grainy compared to a phone camera. But, I mean, it's thermal imaging! How cool is that?
It is 1X zoom, so that's pretty nice. However, the window that your looking through is about as wide as your hand at arms distance, if you stretch your thumb furthest to the left and the rest of your fingers to the right. So navigating a room by yourself in the dark when all you have is the monocular is pretty hard. Someone could be right next to the doorway and you miss them if you happen to not look that way.
HOWEVER: Here's a cool thing! Any itty bitty part of a person that the camera could possibly see, shows up super clearly! If you are trying to hide from this camera, it's really hard! Hide and seek is a ton of fun to play with this thing. If you are trying to spy on the "seeker" and peek around something to see where they are, they can see you clear as day! It's like your face is a flashlight. The only way to hide from this is to com...

Useful within 200 meters and great price
It works well so far. I like that it links to my android phone so i don't have to look through the monocular. Not nearly as good as the military thermals i used to play with but great value for $375ish i paid after discounts. My only complaint was when i first powered it on the language was set to Ukrainian or something like that but i was able to figure out how to change it to English after 5 mins.
Pros:
- Links to android, price
Cons:
- Range

Works perfectly.

best low cost thermal
Got this for TX hog hunting. It’s not high enough resolution to identify much at a distance past 30-40 yards, but that wasn’t my intent. This is much more convenient to use to scan at night to detect animal, then you can use your green light or night vision or better thermal to identify them. Much easier than scanning with your rifle. For this purpose, it’s adequate.

Agm 160 thermal
It's ok if you are staying within 200 yds. Cattle show up at 500+, deer 200 maybe little farther, anything smaller it needs to be sub 200 yards. I thought I'd test it out for coyote hunting. Agm stated I need the taipan 19 for that which is coming out soon. It's better than no Thermal I guess.
Pros:
- Thermal better than no Thermal, works under 200 well.
Cons:
- Range, clarity
Best Used for:
- Deer, cattle, people, smaller stuff if close.
Would recommend: Yes
