Most Helpful Positive Review I never knew what I was missing!
I have the 3NW and àll I can say is wow! It completely exceeded all. Of my expectations. I have yet to need external ir illumination running the 14. I was looking at various LAMs to complete the package but with a new twist; not illuminator necessary and I think I've decided on a perst-4. The clarit...

Most Helpful Negative Review J arm came broken
Nvg is great although the j arm came in broken and now using a stick and duct tape. But battery life is good and you can see clearly, the auto gating is great but rather have the day caps on with a ir illuminater to keep focus. 3 out of 5.

Product Review: AGM Global Vision PVS-14 Night Vision Monocular

by impact4him, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on February 9, 2026
This is my first night vision device that I have personally owned. I have used night vision in the past, but only Gen 1 units. As an entry-level Gen 3 device, the AGM Global Vision PVS-14 has been fantastic.

The white phosphorus image is very clear and usable even without the IR illuminator enabled. When the IR is turned on, it significantly enhances illumination and detail in darker environments, which is impressive. Image clarity and overall performance are a huge step up compared to older Gen 1 units I’ve used before.

There are also several available accessories that can help increase field of view, which I may consider as a future upgrade. The modularity and upgrade path are a nice bonus.

Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this night vision monocular. For the performance you get at this price point, it’s truly a “bang for the buck” purchase and a no-brainer for anyone looking to get into night vision.

I highly recommend the AGM Global Vision PVS-14.

3AW3 pvs14

by matt, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on January 3, 2026
Only problems: it came with an alkaline battery already installed in the tube which has been sitting since inspection in 2024 and although mine didn’t seem to leak I would be concerned for other units. Mine came with 4 small blems in the tube. The objective lens focusing is super stiff. Depending on the diopter adjustment the device gives a noisy whirling sound. The auto gain works but isn’t as smooth as I would’ve expected and the device gets noisy when it kicks on. The good: The brightness on the lowest gain is pretty high, the cap it comes with has a tiny pinhole which allows you to see through it and takes down the brightness. For 2,800 I’d say it’s worth it as a very bright NVD that works in very low light conditions without requiring illuminators like digital NV.

Absolutely Perfect - I recommend the AGM PVS14 NL2

by Sharpie, from AR, United States Written on October 27, 2025
I’ve scoured the net and saw 100’s of reviews for this product. Several complaints from people who heard there’s no spec sheets, or they source their stuff overseas, blah blah, etc. My PVS14 NL2 arrived today, and they’re indistinguishable to me from the ones I’ve used in the military. I’ve been in 22 years so far and have spent many hours under NODs, both PVS 7b and PVS 14s. Pulled them out of the box and had the green bag with MOLLE loops on the back, everything inside was 100% exactly in both appearance and feel to NSN equipment. Tube is great and unit functions EXACTLY as both I expected it to and as it should. MY UNIT CAME WITH A SPEC SHEET with FOM, SNR, etc. An AGM tech tested the equipment prior to shipping and it passed all of their QC measures whatever that is, frankly I don’t care because at least they have a QC process. My money was well spent. I’m not kicking down doors in the Sunni triangle, I’m IR predator hunting, walking to a deer stand in the dark, or driving my side by side in the dark to my release point to walk to the stand. I have a Gen 1 Sightmark Ghost that spooked more deer than anything on a walk in so I needed a good set of Gen 2. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY PVS14 FOR A GOOD VALUE THESE ARE PERFECT! AGM did a great job with these. AGM call me if you want a testimonial!
Pros:
  • value
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Accessories
Cons:
  • Spec nerds that hate on these for no reason
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Low light
  • Side by side driving

I am Pleased with the Performance of these gen2+ WP PVS-14. Absolutely exceed my expectations and I cannot stress enough when you're Debating whether or not to get Gen3 Nods or Gen2+ It's Seeing in the dark Either way, If you have the Extra Cash Go ahead on Gen3 As its superior in Total Darkness, That said You'd have to be In TOTAL darkness and then You still have IR to support Visabilty, That said if you're worried about Positioning located from Your light signature Thats valid but also You're still Able to SEE IN THE DARK Period,I can't say you're going wrong with Either Gen2 to Gen3, If you get A Gen2+ You Absolutely won't Regret it thanks Optics Planet, You guy's have a satisfied Customer Here 100%

AGM Global Vision PVS-14

by Vic, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on September 20, 2024
UPDATE
I took apert the skull crusher mount, the hooked part that engages the “J” mount was bent from the factory. After removal and unbending it it now engages, locks and releases. Poor QC. I’ve more than likely voided any warranty.
And I’ll have to add some JB Weld to assure the hook portion doesn’t move, as it’s slotted for adjustment.

AGM PVS-14

by Vic, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on September 20, 2024
The PVS-14’s work perfectly, my issue is that the “J” arm will not engage in the skull crusher that comes with the device.
So that part is useless to me.

PVS-14 Gen2

by Vic, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on September 14, 2024
Received this from a person that thinks very highly of me. It has a very good picture and clear screen. It’s the white phosphorus (not green). It came quickly, well packaged and with the scull crusher headset.
Very happy with the gift. I’ll thank myself later.

Great Entry Night Vision

by Jeremy, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on September 7, 2024
The PVS 14 white phos I received has been a pleasure to use and is a world of difference. Only critique I have is that the FOM was only about 1320 and there were two minor blemishes on the outer lenses, looked like chips in the glass. No blemishes as far as black spots that I could see. A great entry into night vision and one I will continue to use for quite a while. Performed fine with cloud cover and little ambient light. Yes Gen 3 is probably better, but Gen 2 seems to be 90% of what you get with Gen 3 at 1/2 to 3/4 the price. So far very pleased.
Pros:
  • Value and affordability
Cons:
  • not the latest and greatest
