Recently did my research for a good pair of NV and always cam back to these. If the U.S. Military uses these in battle, then you know they’ll hold up for regular use and will with stand the wear and tear of non-combatant applications. I decided to spend a little extra and get the better quality NV and it isn’t a disappointment at all. Awesome picture quality and extremely light weight and compact. Looking forward to using these hunting. If you’re debating on going with this brand, you will not be disappointed. Goes great a helmet or comes with head hardware it can be mounted to.

Rugged and worth the price

by Nate, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on October 14, 2025
I got the NW3, white phosphorus version. Summary: Inexpensive, robust, and effective nods. Not far off from higher end nods. I got these to use during MilSim West, an airsoft military simulation event. These nods work extremely well and are unbeatable in price. Running with a full 300g counterweight on my helmet I had no discomfort on its weight. (These were worn for several hours, up to 6 hours at a time). A friend had rented brand new L3 Harris white phosphorus dual tube nods and we compared them. The Harris was sharper on its image, but was not all that different. I used these at the Victorville event at MilSim. It is an abandoned Air Force base housing that is falling completely apart. The area is very hostile and dense with debris and trip/fall hazards. I did not have any issues with depth perception and kept up (sometimes faster) than other nod users navigating the debris. I also had a really easy time reading or working on things up close. It’s very quick and easy to change your focus distance. While other users had to lift their nods and pull out a red light, I changed my distance, could clearly see what I was doing, and then changed it back out to distance afterwards. They are also rugged. I fell on them on accident and it had not damaged the nod. However, I was going out on a ruck, and the sling of my rifle had caught on the nods, I pulled instead of lifting it off, and it popped off an eyepiece retaining ring on my left eyepiece. This is probably the weakest part ...

Green is better than white

by Guzzi Fabrication, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on December 31, 2024
First I had purchased the white phosphor tube pvs7 because of all the hype and video reviews.... Then after I received it I found out the white phosphor works better in the city well I live in the country so the green would work out much better in low light wooded areas. Optics planet had a really good deal on the Green and blazing fast speed for shipping I purchased several products from them they are my go-to you won't go wrong with this pvs7
