DANGER! Squib city
DO NOT BUY! This ammo is defective and dangerous. That's the most important takeaway from this. The first batch of this ammo that I purchased was fine. I went ahead and ordered a second pack of 450 and this stuff is legitimately dangerous. I had 4 squib rounds so far out of about 70 rounds. This ha...

5.56x45mm NATO
I ran several mags through a standard 16" barrel and experienced zero malfunctions, no failures to feed, fire, or eject. It cycles smoothly and maintains solid, repeatable accuracy at typical range distances.

Dangerous and defective
Like others, I found this to be terrible and dangerous ammo. It causes squibs. Not sure if they’re not seated properly or what, but this took out 2 rifles in quick order. I can’t believe they’re selling it, someone is gonna get hurt or killed
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- DANGEROUS
Best Used for:
- Destroying rifles

30 Rds Box
I like that it comes in 30-round boxes since that matches standard mags. Makes range prep easy. Performance-wise, it’s been excellent. I’ve shot a few hundred rounds so far and haven’t had a malfunction. It’s consistent and trustworthy.

Fantastic ammo
I picked up a few boxes of this Aguila 55 grain FMJ for a weekend range trip and ended up being really impressed. I ran a little over 400 rounds through my AR and didn’t have a single malfunction. No feeding issues, no light strikes, nothing. Accuracy was solid at 100 yards, and it stayed consistent even when the barrel got warm. For basic range ammo, this stuff definitely exceeded my expectations. I’ll be stocking up on more.

Rifle Ammo
Good everyday 5.56. Does exactly what it should. Would recommend for practice and general shooting. Shot it alongside a few other brands and it held up well. Maybe not the tightest grouping, but very consistent.
Pros:
- Good Quailty
- Range ammo
Cons:
- Out of Stock
Best Used for:
- range & target shooting

Aguila Ammo 5.56

5.56 Aguila Ammo
Used it in both my AR and a buddy’s rifle. Worked fine in both. Can’t really ask for more. Great for stocking up for range days. Haven’t had a single dud so far.

- Excellent value
- High qaulity
Cons:
- None

Squbs are real
Bought this ammo for the price for the 1st time. Got a SQUIB on my 2nd stage of a rifle match. Bullet stuck in the barrel. Ejected the case which I thought was a jammed round. Lucky the SQUIB bullet was lodged close enough to the chamber to prevent loading the next round. Otherwise might very well have a blown barrel or worse!!! Agree with other reviews that warned of Squibs. SQUIBs with this brand are real! Yes, I should have checked the reviews before buying and shooting has inherent risks. BUT honestly, is TRUSTING OpticsPlanet with the most basic consumer safety too much to expect. Extremely disappointed at OpticsPlanet!
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- SQUIBS are real with this brand!

do not buy
All of the other negative reviews are accurate. Out of the first box I had a dud round, another round where the powder did not ignite, and a squib that lodged into my barrel. If I did not know what I was doing, the next round would have caused serious injury. I have never shot worse ammo in my entire life. Optics planet, you have a responsibility to remove this product off your website.

Horrible Ammo!!! Squibs
I got a squib with this on my first magazine, out of a LWRCI SPR rifle. At first I thought it was just a rare occurrence, but I received another squib during my 3rd magazine. I have no faith in this ammo anymore.
