3 years later .. busted

by PeiFoon, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on May 6, 2021
3 years ago I gave this scope a pretty good review. I can't say this now because it is useless. Looking through the scope now all I can see now is an extreme tilted blur. I also own the 6x40 version of this brand and I love that one. This 4x40 is a disappointment but because it was only $31.00 in 2018 I don't feel too bad. Still I think it should have lasted a few more years.

Should be brighter

by PeiFoon, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on October 14, 2018
With a 40mm objective and only 4x I believe that this scope should be much brighter, it _is_ good enough, but I have a 8x25 monocular that just seems much brighter. I also had trouble with the focus. By screwing the eyepiece all the way out, until it started to wobble (then locking it down), I did get a good clear focus, but just barely. I think the barrel is just a little short. Otherwise is seems well made and durable. It was easy to zero and hold zero -- so far. I love the Mil-Dot reticle, more so than a truplex. I guess I would recommend this scope for the price _but_ there may be a better inexpensive alternative. You might look at what Simmons offers.
Pros:
