Impressed so far - AIM Sports Inc M-Lok Handgaurd for H&K 91 Rifle Length

I have not shot the rifle yet with this handguard...but I will say that from what I'm seeing so far, if you want an aluminum handguard for a PTR-91, this thing is probably pretty much impossible to beat at this price. I'm kind of in shock.

It fits my PTR-91 GI R like a factory part - pretty much rock solid...and definitely much better than the surplus "slim" plastic handguard that came with the rifle, which wobbled around a bit. Also, although I don't have a scale, even with a Magpul M-LOK AFG and a few rail covers on it, it's not at all noticeably heavier than the plastic handguard (which does have a heat shield). In fact, it MIGHT even be lighter...

At this point, the only possible improvement I can think of would be to add a few more rows of M-LOK slots (e.g., at "2 o'clock" and "10 o'clock") like some of the more expensive G3 handguards have...but overall, I'm very impressed so far, especially considering the price.

It seems like the only question is how it handles heat...but given the extra venting it has and the M-LOK covers I added, I think it'll be manageable.

One other thing to note - on the M-LOK version of this handguard, the bolt that holds it on screws into a steel nut...while on the keymod version, the bolt threads directly into the aluminum. This is one of the reasons I went with the M-LOK version.
