Wrong rail.
So I misread and ordered this for my 590 shockwave. Identical rail but just to long for a shock wave. I love the rail though got he version for my shockwave and plan on getting a 500 to go with this rail lol
Great looking
I recently opened to find out its missing some hardware. Overall the quality is good, looks great. This rail is light weight. The edges aren’t sharp like other people had mentioned. The rail fits snug on the mossberg 500.

Great Rail System.
Just purchased this item and mounted it on my Mossberg 20" Magpul edition 500. It went on really easily and all the included hardware worked as expected. This porduct is highly recommended for anyone looking to add a sight/optic base, retain a heat sheild, and have multiple accessory mounted forward of the shotgun forend. The raised 1913 rail allows the use of barrel bead. The Magpul forend clearence did have me worried; but once the rail was mounted,there was no issue with cycling the weapon. Will definitely pick up another.

Great fway to mount my ATN Nightvision scope to my shotgun
I bought an ATN X-Sight and it comes with a picatinny mount. Since we can only hunt coyote with shotgun in lower Michigan this was a great to set up my Mossberg 500 12 gauge to mount the scope on. Works out great. I think I'll swap out the stock and add a grip as well.
