Compm4 warranty service - Aimpoint CompM4 Red Dot Sight w/ QRP2 Mount

This sight has been wonderful for the last 10 years that I have had it. I have used it on three different rifle calibers (556, 6.5 Grendel, 50 beowulf) and it has never failed, or lost zero. I never dropped it but it took a ton of other physical abuse and moisture exposure. The glass is very clear and the dot is sharp and very easy to see on the brightest of days (I live in the Arizona desert) and at 2 moa covers very little of the sight picture. The last time I took it out to use it I discovered that the alkaline battery in it had burst and destroyed the battery chamber and connectors. I contacted Aimpoint and explained. John ther rep told me that I could send it to them and they would replace the damaged sections and send it back to me at no charge. I was thrilled that they would consider repairing my scope and shocked that there would me no charge, So I immediately shipped it insured to their facility (can't remember what state but eastern seaboard). After several weeks I checked with John about progress and was told that it had been sent to Sweden/Switzerland. and he would ship as soon as it was returned to them. A few more weeks and John said that it could not be repaired and they would send me a new scope. On December 26 I received the Brand New Scope in the mail. Aimpoint went above and beyond my initial expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking to purchase a quality product that the manufacturer stands behind 100%.
