The Best Red-Dot Optic on the Planet—and Optics Planet
Spending a thousand dollars on a red-dot optic is a serious undertaking. It presupposes a great deal of research and clarity of purpose. My research led me to Aimpoint’s Comp M5S and Optics Planet. The Comp M5S is a superb piece of kit. It’s tough, mounts easily, zeros easily, and has flawless glass. As ever, Optics Planet made the purchase easy. The price was fair, and the product was delivered well within the promised timeframe. I’ve come to trust Optics Planet implicitly. They’re pros.
Aimpòint Comp M5s
Fantastic sight! Crystal clear glass, quick acquisition, tight red dot. Have a Vortex red dot and this Aimpoint is better on every level! Expensive but if you can cough up the extra money, buy one!!

operation is dummy proof. If its bright outside rotate the brightness selector to the 7th click. else position 6 or 5. The lens covers are built in and maintain long term lens protection. The battery is good for over 5 years of use at level 7. The battery compartment is low in the weapon to allow better vision past the sight. Uses a AAA battery. 150 feet water proof. Accurate and feelable red dot target adjustment. What else could you want from a red dot. It is compatable with the Eotech magnifier and am able to hit half silloette at 300 yards easily.

Great Product, as expected
I mean... its Aimpoint... its just weird they had the battery on the top in the first version but man this thing is sick and slick. Bit pricey but its certainly a Buy once cry once type of product. I have 4 Aimpoints all different models... there all great... I love the battery life and love that with this one I can buy batteries off the shelf.

Aimpoint CompM5S
This is a very good red dot sight. Obviously very durable and sturdy. The quick detach mount is bery convenient as well. The dot is sharp and clear design my slight astigmatisms. If I was buying again, I would buy the version without the Night Vision settings since I don’t have night vision and six dial turns to get to a dot I can see is not ideal. But that was my fault.
