Reviews & Ratings for Aimpoint Micro Ruger Mark III Mount
— 7 reviews — Page 1
I was a little hesitant to buy this this based on the other reviews but am glad I did. The install was a little tricky in that you need to put the screws that go into the MkIII in before you attach the aimpoint to the mount. After that it was pretty straightforward.
The mount sits very low on...

This item really needs instructions. You need to put the sight on the mount before you put the mount on the pistol. And, you need to feed the mount screws through the mount holes before you attach the sight to the mount. Lastly, if you use the tool that comes with the mount, it is very difficult ...

Solid low mounting system. It allowed me to get the aimpoint as low as possible, as well as having less moving parts. Saves weight and well. Too bad they aren't made anymore. Great option if you want to.

This mount may be usable for an Aimpoint H1, but I can tell you not for an H2. You absolutely CAN NOT access the screws holding the mount to the pistol (even with H2 covers removed). Statements made elsewhere on various websites led me to believe that any micro mount was compatible with any micro optic, but not in this case. I wasted my money.

Easy install, works as advertised. Mounts lower than the other option of installing the Ruger rail, then mounting on that.
Pros: Mounts lower than rail mounting, balances well
Cons: None

This mount can potentially result in damage (scratches) to an expensive scope!
Mounting screws to Ruger must be placed in holes before the Aim Pointed scope is mounted to the mount. The scope and mount can then be screwed to the Pistol.
The watch out is there very little clearance between the tool used to tighten the screws and the scope.
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Poor design
