A nicely built mount for the money.
This mount is a bit tight to slide on but won't move around. A good mount for your FAL build. NOTE: don't over tighten the side screws,only snug them down. L1A1 dust cover
I ordered this to put on my L1A1 and it fit perfectly. I just took it to the range the other day and it fits snugly never moved and the sight held 0 shot after shot. I think this fits better than the actual dust cover that came on the rifle as this one is a little harder to slide off and feels more stable.
Pros:
- Fit snug and stay put
- Looks great and did not have to drill & tap holes

No instructions
In the other reviews everyone mentions how easy it is to mount. It is, but the word "mount" is deceiving. It replaces the dust cover, simply slide the old one off and this on. I spent about three minutes trying to figure out how it attached to the dust cover. Installation time should be less than 60 seconds

Smooth assembly
Mounting was very easy and mount feels rock solid. Most likely it's my worn out old L1A1 that does not perform as well as I expected, not better than with them Iron sights... Or maybe it's that cheap red dot I got mounted. I'll have to get better optics!

FAL dust cover scope mount
All I heard was so so on this dust cover scope mount where ever I went,but it went right on,no grinding or filing and in 10 minutes I was ready to to shoot.It is inexpensive and a quality product for my fal

DAVES FN FAL RAIL SCOPE MOUNT REVIEW
MOUNT IS SOLID AS A ROCK, AND VERY EASILY INSTALLED. I WAS ACTUALLY SURPRISED AT HOW EASY THIS MOUNT SLID ON AND SECURED. IT IS WELL MADE AND HAS NO WIGGLE AT ALL. I HAVE NOT HAD THE RIFLE OUT YET, DUE TO BAD WEATHER AND LACK OF TIME, BUT I DO LOOK FORWARD TO PUTTING SOME ROUNDS DOWN RANGE. THANK YOU OPTICS PLANET FOR ANOTHER FINE QUALITY ITEM.

FN FAL SCOPE RAIL
I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW SOLID THIS MOUNT WAS MADE. I ALSO FOUND IT QUITE EASY TO INSTALL, AND NO WIGGLE AT ALL ONCE PLACED ON RIFLE. I HAVE NOT HAD THE WEATHER OR THE TIME TO GET MY RIFLE TO THE RANGE YET, BUT SO FAR I AM MORE THAN SATISFIED. THANK YOU OPTICS PLANET FOR CARRYING QUALITY MURCHANDISE.
