Got it for an airsoft replica, tripod is of decent construction for the project. Wish the front leg locked out instead of just dangling, might modify it. The tripod does fit the pintle I have, its bit of a tight fit with the mechanism properly locked in.
Pros:
- Surplus parts fit with the tripod
Cons:
- Would not trust this thing with a real .50 cal without modification
Best Used for:
- Replicas, props, cosmetic pieces.

Excellent workmanship and a good price. I have an original and it matches it minus the WW2 date tag.
Cons:
- Not olive drab green but easily fixed
Best Used for:
- WW2 and Korea military display

This is the second tripod I ordered and just like the first it is a fine looking piece of equipment. When it warms a bit, I will shoot a coat of olive drab green and it will be perfect for my re-enactment displays. Thanks for filling a need in the collector and re=enactor community.

The tripod is a great looking piece of gear. Sitting beside an original WW2 tripod, it is almost identical except for the color and that will be remedied shortly. Thats for filling the need in re-enactors, collectors or anyone else needing a tripod.

For being a reproduction it is a great price and well built tripod. If you don’t care about original USGI then this is for you. It is also a look less $ and well worth the money.

12lbs only, I guess that sums up. Paint the horrible, they painted the screws and the thread is rusted...cannot trust getting my M1919 or even my M249 in it.................................'''''''''''''''''''

Optics Planet, again shipped it real fast!
About the item. It is a 12 lbs very light construction with a bad paint job (spray can?) and rusted screw threads as they also tried to paint the screws (ridiculous).
It is MADE IN CHINA,that should explain all the defects. Not worth the $180 for sure and I am afraid to actually mount my M1919 in it, will try my M245 in it. I do not know if quality went down, reviews from 3 years ago saying it was good, the only late review was from someone that did not purchased it and I doubt was a honest review.
Cons:
- Rusted hardware
- Light construction
- poor refinish
- too expensive for what actualy is
Best Used for:
- Pellet Guns
- very light firearm
- expensive display

I purchased this aim sports usgi tripod replica for my 1919A4. The tripod itself is built very well with a lock on the front leg and a lock for the traversing bar. It holds everything tight. I also purchased the pintle and T&E, these components all work in unison of one another and are great! I recommend this products and the others mentioned to future customers.

I bought one of these in 2018 and it is excellent in detail and strength. It has a black powder coating but can be painted easily as many original tripods were painted. I changed out the metric bolts for US standard hardware but it's not necessary. All the bolt holes accept US hardware. The traverse bar is Parkerized and I recommend that the markings be filled in with white contrast as per the originals. I ordered another one in 2019 in October and it was back ordered until December but it is the same quality. A real bargain for the price. Brass pintel bushing is perfect.
