Major's Review of Aimtech Scope Mount For Colt 1911, Colt Government 45 APM7
I got one for my Ruger 1911 and it fit ok and the sight attached good. But I found that on occasion it would interfere with the ejecting of brass and it made it more difficult to rack the gun. It also stood kind of high which made the red dot sight I put on it high. I sent the Aimtech 7 sight mount back and purchased a sight mount that goes in the cut on the slide. This has worked out much better for me. YMMV
Pros:
- The sight doesn't move with the slide.
Cons:
- Sets high and can interfear with brass ejection.
