Pretty impressive! - Aimtech Second Sight See Through Solid Rifle Mount for Ruger Mini-14 Scout Rail

I installed this mount to confirm or dispel my doubts. The mounting/barrel clamp seems to be heavier than the mount itself but adds the weight toward the muzzle otherwise I would not consider an option that adds that much weight. However, the clamp is a solid clamp in that it does do a good job of securing itself to the barrel. Also, all of the cap screws provided had thread locking material on their threads. After mounting this ugly thing, I tried the see-through feature and was thoroughly impressed. The stock mini-14 sights are very visible and comfortable to use; which is an exceptional feature, in my opinion. This mount my be heavy and ugly, but considering it's price and features, it's growing on me. Hope this review helps someone!
Pros: Easy to install; see-through option is outstanding; barrel clamp/mount is solid.
Cons: Heavy! But, the weight is near the muzzle. Ugly in my opinion but the best see-through mount I've seen (through).
