Gordon's Review of Airborne Arms AR-15 Featherweight .750 Gas Block
I'm not a typical reviewer, and I'm new to "do it yourself" gunsmithing, so I can't say much in comparison to other gas block installations.
This thing is tiny! I replaced my picatinny gas block on my DPMS LR-308 sportical with this, to install a free float hand guard. When it says .750 inches, it means it.
You need to carefully work the block down the barrel, but it will go.
The gas tube is also a really tight fit into the block, so aligning it over the hole properly is a little tricky.
The hardest part of the installation was inserting the roll pin. There is not much to clamp onto to keep it in place, so you'll want some soft jaws for your vice.
The locking screws aligned perfectly on the barrel. Wasn't sure how that was going to work out at first, but it did.
Overall, if you're feeling up for it, and are looking for a really, really small block, it is excellently machined.
