Most Helpful Positive Review Super small - Super precise
I'm not a typical reviewer, and I'm new to "do it yourself" gunsmithing, so I can't say much in comparison to other gas block installations. This thing is tiny! I replaced my picatinny gas block on my DPMS LR-308 sportical with this, to install a free float hand guard. When it says .750 inches, it means it. You need to carefully work the block down the barrel, but it will go. The gas tube is also a really tight fit into the block, so aligning it over the hole properly is a little tricky. The hardest part of the installation was inserting the roll pin. There is not much to clamp onto to ...

Lightweight Gas Block

by Ray, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on September 10, 2023
Super light gas block and unique design. It does have a tight fit but still able to be pressed on by hand. The gas port on the block is larger than most barrel ports so if it’s slightly off centered you could still be functional. The gas block does have two set screws and the instructions highly recommend how to torque/tighten the screw and what order. The rear screw should have the Allen key a certain way and similar for the front (different end of Allen key) to avoid over torquing a screw or damaging the block.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Quality
  • Tight fit
Cons:
  • None

Steel Gas Block

by The Ballistic Hipster, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on December 30, 2022
I bought this due to all the reviews here and elsewhere stating this gas block has a tight fit. The tighter a gas block fits on the barrel journal, the better the seal. Unfortunately, the steel gas block does not seem to have tighter tolerances than anything else on the market at the moment. Battle Arms now discontinued titanium block always needed to be lightly tapped into place. I'm keeping this one. It will be fine, but it's nothing extraordinary in either weight or fit. V Seven's titanium gb will get you the same fitment with less weight and an extra set screw holding it in place for better durability.
