18” 1-7.5 twist bead blasted

I purchased this barrel directly from Alexander Arms about 5 years ago when building my first AR-15. After much consideration of barrels, this was my selection. Has no issues holding sub MOA groups with factory ammunition, I have hand load ladder rounds ready to test but haven’t had the time yet. I am interested in seeing what I and it can do with hand loaded 90gr Speer TNT, 100gr Barnes TTSX, and 123gr ELD-M’s can do. 260 yards with Hornady Black 123gr ELD-M produced a 2.25” group, .82 MOA.

Not worth the price

I bought a barrel over 2 years ago, I have shot about 200 rounds through it and even with match ammo I never shot better that 2MOA. So I have a good friend and trained shoot, shot it to see if it was just me. he put about 20 rounds of Hornady match ammo
(6.5 Grendel 123 gr ELD® Match™ Hornady BLACK) he shot a little better about 1.75 his best group. For the cost of this barrel you are better off getting a Satern barrel (crazy accurate).

Multiple issues upon initial receipt, returned

Cannot recommend this “11 inch” barrel. First off it is 11.5 inches, not 11. Does not look like item pictured here. Barrel has excessive gas port burrs after drilling. Barrel is not marked with twist rate. Came loosely packed and not in a protective tube. Was just bouncing around inside box with some bubble packing material, which did not help. Very disappointed, returned it 30 minutes after I received it.

Heavy barrel, great looks perfect specs

I purchased this barrel for a project to build a dedicated 6.5 on the AR platform. After waiting ten weeks for Alexander Arms, I found the barrel and length I was looking for here. The barrel arrived out of its bubble wrap in a huge box, but unscratched. I matched this up with a Faxn bolt and it runs flawlessly.
