So wrong, can't possibly be wronger - ALG Defense Ergonomic Modular Railed Handguard -V3

What' makes this handguard so great? NOTHING, because... it's not great at all.

Firstly, it took ALG three (3) iterations to produce things thing. They need fourth and fifth to get it even close or right. Thankfully though, it's been discontinued. The barrel nut that it comes with is ALUMINUM. Not only that, it's a weird shape for which you need a special tool. But the tool was included, right? WRONG - so Secondly, you have to buy the tool, SEPARATELY. Good luck calling ALG asking them to send you one - if you get through, they actually might send one out, for free, MAYBE. Unless, you live in Commiefornia, where you can't get "gunsmithing tools" without a protracted age verification process. Thanks Gov'ner!

Thirdly, (and that should be the name of this unit) the picatinny rail sits higher than the mil spec upper’s (Spikes Tactical). BY ABOUT 1mm! So this one's definitely the case of - you best bring matching upper from ALG for this "bad boy"

This handguard is so frustrating, I wanted to bash it into something harder repeatedly, with high frequency and great force. There are MUCH BETTER handguards out there that don't cost a bundle and have you jump through hoops to get it on and dialed in. Shame..... shame....! Mercy descended upon this thing and it’s been discontinued. ALG might be as well…
