Great if you carry while rappelling upside down.
The Springfield XD Mod.2 Subcompact 9mm/40cal 3 inch ShapeShift OWB Paddle Holster is great for its price if you plan on carrying your weapon OWB and often perform physical activity where you might find yourself upside down and don't want to have your weapon come out of its holster. If that's the ca...

Not a Happy Camper
I'm not wanting to bash Alien Gear products; however this product does not work for me. I tried it on four occasions. An occasion for me is 4-12 hours wearing. So yes, I spent some time with it. Number one issue. Trying to install inside waistband. The side that goes against your pants has all types of protrusions that restrict a smooth entrance and you end up dropping your belt and unzipping your pants and laying it in like a shield and then putting everything back in place. Consequently, the same thing happens when you want to remove it. Second issue. If you have a true 1.5" belt, you can cut the lips off the bottom to wear it, otherwise forget it. When packing heat, I use a wide belt, not a skinny one. This 4.0 IWB is not for that application.
Once you finally get it installed, it wears OK, not great, just OK. For others it may be the cat's meow, for me, it just didn't work. I have used a Comp-Tac holster for years and thought I would try the Alien Gear, as a good friend highly recommended it. I'll just go back to my Comp-Tac...
FWIW, gave it to my son to try, he might like it.

Security Technician
It’s nicely built, sturdy, comfortable backing and the firearm fits perfectly into it. Retention and canter are fully adjustable without a bunch of tools as well. The Glock 19 just happens to be a bulkier gun for someone on the thinner side. My issue with this holster is that it’s just large. Not a chance I’m concealing anything with it on. I think the polymer holster itself needs less design and a thinner casing, too many lines and parts. otherwise it’s a great product.
Best Used for:
- Tactical situations and larger folk.

iwb hard to get on
verry hard to get clips over the belt if you have jjjjjejeans on thick pants on like jeans the clips that keep it on the belt makes it hard to get on if you are older and dont have good hands other than that wears good after you finally get it on

Comfortable out of box
I am new to the CC world. I have a soft behind back holster. Just was not comfortable. Recommended crossbeed, but was convinced by my gun shop, Alien is superb to crossbeed. I don't know that much. But the Alien is the way to go. Have worn 2 days out of bed to bedtime. No complaints, no sweating.

- Conceal Carry

ShapeShift 4.0 is a 4 platform kit
The ShapeShift 4.0 comes as an entire kit for roughly 100 dollars. So why spend half of that on one holster from a 4 platform kit plus a car or desk mount?? Seems to me that it would be more cost effective to buy the entire kit and be able to switch holster platforms for your everyday needs.

Aliengear shapeshift for Shield 9
I love this thing...although it has its quirks. It's built insanely well and as its heavily adjustable you can make it work with any clothing as long as the belt will hold up. Retention is adjustable and makes for a clean draw.

Nice holster
Belt clips are a little tight on my Bigfoot gun belt, but gun fits nicely and it is comfortable to wear. Kinda wish the holster would have a backside on the Kydex to keep the pistol a little more secured.

Quality and fit
A very well built holster. The holster is very comfortable to wear.I tried to wear with sweat pants but was drooping. This is not the fault of holster.I recommend wearing a belt. The weight of the gun is the problem.
