Cartridge holder with adjustment
Purchased because typical cartridge (slip on neopreme) will not fit a stock well if said stock has a sling stud and you desire to install a sling too. This unit is fully adjustable, leaves space for your sling stud to be exposed and even has a zipper storage pocket. Allen Co. needs to include a tongue depressor (wooden) in the package for ease at adjusting the 4 velcro straps. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
45-70 Will Fit
I purchased this specifcally for my Springfield 1873 Trapdoor and it works exactly as expressed. The rounds slip in and out without too much fuss and the zipper pouch on the side also helps with carrying a few more extra rounds (or other small kits required) while shooting.
Took a bit of fiddling around before finally figuring out how to put it on, but ill assume thats just me getting something like this for the very first time and not understanding how its put on all that well. It does come with instructions so that certainly helped a good bit, yet it fits firmly on there.

Good for the money
It's basic and simple. I would like one of those nicer one's for $30-50 but I really didn't need the excess quality. I put about an inch of foam under it to get a good view through the scope. I'm satisfied with it.

Good value, does what it needs to
Fully adjustable velcro straps allow you to tighten the piece and you can shorten them so there is no excess hanging around quality seems fine. I ordered this and the blackhawk with the elastic lace and I much prefer this one!
