Best performance for your dollar - Alpen 8x42 Rainier Waterproof Roof Prism Binoculars 60

These binocs are significantly brighter than my 1980's era leitz 7x50's, which is amazing. they are sharp to the edge. Colours are perfect. Completely outclass Nikon Monarchs, better than Khales or Kowa. On par with Ziess Classics, but brighter! I liked them so much, I ordered the 10X42's as well.
