I've beat the crap our of this thing and it has taken the punishment. The glass is very good for the price and the bullet drop reticle works well. The eye relief is very long and takes a bit of getting used to but I wouldnt call that a con.

Alpen Apex - great scope
I checked a lot of reviews before deciding on this scope. I put it on a Savage 270 win. with accutrigger. It took only 5 shots to get it dialed in, and after 20 more shots it held zero perfectly. I was impressed with the clarity throughout all magnification ranges through 16. The side focus and quick focus work great and are smooth. I zeroed in at 150 yards and got 1 inch groups. It think it would be hard to beat this scope for the price. I've used Bushnell, Nikon and other higher priced scopes and this scope is as good or better at a much better price. I highly recommend this scope.

Alpen, worth every penny
Never seen a Alpen product until I did some research. I own Redfield, Leupol, weaver and widefeild and this scope rates better then them all. I can turn it up to 16x and it is still just as clear. Mounted on my varmit gun and 400 yds is easy money.
