Don't buy for heavy recoil - Alpen Apex XP 1.5-6x42mm SF Waterproof Rifle Scope, Matte Black

I have had two of this on my .458 Socom. Both could not handle the recoil and ceased to work. The first was the illuminated model no longer made, that was replaced by the cheaper one under the so-called warranty, the second one after eight shots would no longer focus. Too bad, as I really liked the illuminated one.
Pros: Nice looking, good features
Cons: Will fall apart under heavy recoil
